Message From Our Director

We invite you to come visit us this spring and summer. We will be having a three-week exhibit from the Texas Council for the Humanities Resource Center in Austin. It is titled, “Citizens At Last”, the long battle for Women Suffrage in Texas, which changed the face of politics forever in this state and all others. It will run from April 4 through April 25.

Beginning June 1, we are very pleased to honor all veterans in this country with an exhibit called, “Thanks Vets: 1941-2005”. This 64th year anniversary display will feature artifacts from WW II, Korea, Viet Nam, Gulf Storm, and now Afghanistan and Iraq. We will even show uniforms from WW I. This exhibit will be in conjunction with the Freedom Museum, U.S.A., of Pampa and will be on display all summer.

Our new building is now open! Seven showcases dealing with the Red River War of 1874-75.

In honor of the museum’s 40th anniversary, the  history book in images, called, "Pampa",  is for sale at the museum. The price is $ 22.00;  add $2. 38 for postage mailing out of town. The museum staff compiled the book from the photo archives of the white deer land museum. Phone: 806.669.8041
